Guest post on Lily's Quilts

I finally wrote my guest post on Lily's Quilt. I had won a chance to share my ramblings on her blog when I entered her Fresh Sewing Day giveaway.

Go check out her blog, you won't regret it. Her quilts are amazing and she is happy to share her ideas for new quilt blocks with her followers. She also hosts regular Giveaways and Quilt Alongs. So make sure you don't miss out on those.

And of course please read my blog post "Nadine's Etsy 101" here: http://lilysquilts.blogspot.com/2011/06/nadines-etsy-101-guest-blog-post.html

Lots of love,

Nadine xx

  1. Hi Nadine, don't be too disheartened about not selling anything on Etsy. I think you have hit on the answer - sell cheeper things, we can not compete with prices in the states and so you have to find something different, which you have sucessfully done. You said that people on Etsy are usually crafters themselves - so think what are they looking for - I'm always after patterns as PDF there is no postage, so it does not matter which country. Also I like to buy kits for other crafty friends - at craft fairs my mum can get quite embarassing by loudly saying "look how this is made - we can copy this idea" - so think what can you sell that people can use for making things.....rant over!!!

  5. Hi I just wanted to say I love your quilts, and the fact they are hand made and reversable is brilliant. I am soon to be made redundant from a full time job and have been wondering if I could sell my quilts, but sounds like I might go hungry if thats how long you have waited! especialy as i take years to finnish mine. I am now following you and will find you in facebook too. Keep up the great work all the best from another UK quilter. patchworkcats. xx
