Tumbling Down

A two-sided wallhanging. (I love working with visual illusions and 3D effects.)

The front:

... and the back is a charm quilt (including a close up)

I haven't finished quilting it yet, and it keeps collecting wrinkles sitting folded up in the quilt storage box, but one day I'll get around to finishing it properly.

  1. I am not a huge kaffe fabric fan, however I love the visual effect you have created with this quilt!

Did it take a long time to plan and quilt?

  2. Oh, I love Kaffe Fassett fabric, but I would like to use some other fresh modern fabrics too (Denyse Schmidt, Heather Ross, etc.) but can't find any in the UK, apart from Amy Butler maybe. You're in Leeds, aren't you? Where do you get your modern fabric from?

This design was actually really easy, just cut the jewel pieces and then played with the dark and light distribution and the 3D arrangement.
